Cheaper Home Batteries - Up to 30% Up-Front Discount
From 1 July 2025, the Australian Government provides an up-front discount of around 30% on eligible home and small-business batteries. The discount is delivered via Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) under the expanded SRES and is applied on your invoice by the retailer/installer.
You can choose to keep and sell the STCs yourself via the CER REC Registry, but most customers assign them to the retailer for an immediate invoice discount.
